so, i just realized how painfully out of date i was (am?): apparently, the site that was hosting my audio files went belly up a year ago! whoops! and apparently they only notified the paying customers – not the folks that were hosting audio for free (because, you know, sending a mass email is just that difficult).

anyway, i’m trying to find a good site for hosting my audio and streaming it here, for free. there doesn’t seem to be a YouTube equivalent for audio… or am I missing something? WTF?

i found a service that looks pretty good… only their player doesn’t seem to be embedding properly. Not for me, anyway (or for the 12 other people that logged the same problem in the past day). I’m waiting for some feedback. But in the meantime, you can listen to the tracks by clicking on the titles under the dysfunctional players, or by going directly to my page on SoundCloud.

And if anyone knows of a reliable audio hosting/streaming service, let me know. Please.

UPDATE: Looks like all my players are working now. Yippey!

SoundCloud’s whole website was just down for about 30 mins… not sure how often that happens or how flukey the site/service really is. But for now, play away!

This afternoon, the Little Mister stumbled upon this video from a reading I did last January on Cafe Improv, a weekly variety show on public access television in Princeton. How random?!?!
I had no idea it was even on the Internets. And it’s not half bad… well, except for my goofy flock-of-seagulls hairdo.

It came to my attention last night that folks were having some trouble playing the audio for “Hush.” I think I got it all fixed, and it seems like all of the audio is working a-okay; but if anyone has any further problems, just drop me a line and I’ll see if I can’t get it all cleared up.

ps. another thing I noticed is that sometimes the audio picks up midstream (I think because I paused it or closed the window or something). If you notice that, you can just drag the little gray bar back to the beginning and it will start all over. Does this make sense? It may be a little confusing, but it’s free :)

After allowing my old site and blog to flounder, I’ve decided to hop back in the saddle and take the internets by storm (employing as many puns & cliches as possible in the process).

Some folks may be familiar with PoetryClass, an old blog that I’ve kinda abandoned. This blog won’t be quite as thematically focused, but I’m sure to climb up on my soapbox every once in a while.

Otherwise, you can expect event notices and reviews, news about where and what I’m publishing, and general ramblings about what I’m doing, reading, listening to, watching.
