Friday Random Ten, the “best week ever” edition

Monday, March 5th, 2007 | Music

I was definitely feelin’ the love from my ipod on Friday afternoon (I swear!) when it dealt out this splendiferous random ten… but I got pulled away from the computer too quickly to actually post the list.

Here it is, at long last:

  1. “Last Hard Bible,” Kasey Chambers
  2. “Pray Your Gods,” Toad the Wet Sprocket
  3. “Sing for Absolution,” Muse
  4. “Let’s Save Tony Orlando’s House,” Yo La Tengo
  5. “The Rooster,” Outkast
  6. “Mam’selle,” Frank Sinatra
  7. “Call me on your way back home,” Ryan Adams
  8. “Madroad Driving…,” Johnny Depp & Come (off of Kerouac Kicks Joy Darkness)
  9. “Do the Brown Nose,” The Dead Milkmen
  10. “Take it slow,” Bobby Brown

Yay!: #1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (I’m not even kidding!)
Blech!: Not-a-one, folks, even the songs I don’t love, I likes a whole lot (even, no – ESPECIALLY – Bobby Brown)
Best Lyrics: #9
“Bend your knees. (Wallah wallah wallah!)
Now move your head like this.
Pucker them lips.
Give that butt a kiss!”
Swooniest:Ryan Adams & Bobby Brown (but only back in the day Bobby Brown, not the cracked out ex-Mr. Whitney Houston)
