Friday Random Ten, #2
Friday, December 15th, 2006 | Music
This week, I played by the rules as they are written (instead of making up my own, as I’m wont to do). So the entire library of itunes music went on random and this is what it spit out.
1 - Meet Me in the Morning, Bob Dylan
2 - Don’t Take Your Guns to Town, Johnny Cash
3 - Cold Water, Tom Waits
4 - Like Like The The The Death, Silver Jews
5 - Number Three, They Might Be Giants
6 - Babylon, David Gray
7 - War Pigs, Black Sabbath
8 - Space Dog, Tori Amos
9 - Gangsta Sh’t, Outkast
10 - Butterflies, Toad the Wet Sprocket
11 - Only the Young, Journey
I guess I did break the rules a little, going to 11 and all, but who can turn their back on Journey??
Now for the deep psychological insight…
Faves: 2, 5, 8, 10
Favorite line: “is she still pissing in the river now, heard she’s gone, moved into a trailer park” (Space Dog).
I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve heard … before, ever: 4 or 9 (although I dig both bands alot, I sometimes weary of the ends of albums… short attention span…)
S’more please? Get another FRT fix at: the smedley log, a modest construct, the sam and beckyboo show.

#11 is the “bonus”, but I forget to label it as such frequently. And I listen to new CDs while falling asleep a lot so I usually know the beginning better than the ends myself.
[...] Winter Spring Summer (Under the Pink = Best. Amos. Ever.) [...]
[...] Keep the big door open, everyone’ll come around: Autumn Ben Brian Ellen [...]
any list with Cash on it works for me, but I also like your other favorite picks — almost anything from Fear would be a good choice for me.
